The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, formerly the All India Pre-Medical Test is an entrance examination in India for students who wish to study graduate and postgraduate medical courses and dental courses in government or private medical colleges in India. The National Testing Agency conducts NEET for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, veterinary and other medical/paramedical courses. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is conducted annually with approximately 15, 00,000 test-takers. NEET is a very important exam for all the medical students as it guarantees their seats in various colleges across the country. As a result, one can expect great competition, with only a few making to the merit list.

Many students repeat NEET in order to get a better score and get admission in reputed colleges in the degree of their choice. The NEET score is very important in focusing upon the admissions and colleges in the medical field. It does not matter if you have attempted the exam the previous year or not. One can repeat NEET in 2021 if not satisfied with 2020 attempt, given the condition that you are not violating age criteria (25 years)

Reason for not scoring well in the first attempt:

1. State board and NCERT syllabus.

2. No effective study plan and timetable.

3. Confusion about the right study material.

4. Lack of practice and regular problem-solving.

5. Not enough time devoted per day to prepare for physics, chemistry and Biology.

6. Distraction due to some personal, family or health reason.

7. Felt low many times; hence gave up too easily

These are some of the main reasons students failing to crack NEET. Many times too sincere and good student also get failed to score marks in 1st attempt because of two different syllabus of board and NEET exam. Students from Mumbai and Maharashtra focusing on state board syllabus rather than NCERT. Repeating NEET, provided to join coaching Centre which is having well qualified and experienced faculties. A good coaching center charge nearly 1-1.25 lac for the complete course. A student from middle and lower middle class family can’t afford this fee, having no option except to take admission in any course (BSC or DMLT). We have seen many depressed students left their studies because of not getting support from family. Mission Awareness Foundation is working for such students by providing a 100% scholarship for NEET preparation.
